- Refer to the tool used. RF microneedling adds heat and is a distinct variant, not just another name.

- A term used for lip-care protocols combining topical formulations with cosmetic microneedling. Intended hydration or texture goals differ from filler augmentation; ask about evidence and suitability for the exact lip area.
What to expect
Improvements develop over weeks to months and a series may be needed. Results are gradual, rather than an immediate lifting effect.
Know which version you are having
Standard microneedling and RF microneedling are different: RF adds heat. Ask separately about any serum or other product used with the procedure. Check the intended use of both the device and product and the evidence for combining them. A product sold as a cosmetic is not an injectable.
Risks & aftercare
Infection, scarring and persistent pigment changes can occur. Active infection, healing problems, or a tendency to keloid scars may affect suitability. Follow the provider’s instructions about skincare and makeup.
